John Keister & Associates: We Help Libraries Hire Exceptional Leaders

We are a professional, family owned executive search firm with a highly successful and unique approach to executive search. Our flexible and progressive methodologies have enabled us to complete more than 350 executive level searches for clients throughout the country.

Because we are an intentionally small firm, we don't assign searches to anyone else. We personally handle all aspects of searches, customizing our approach for each project because every organization is unique. The clients we work with appreciate our focus, responsiveness, and engaging, creative approach. Our size is our strength.

Organizations thrive when they have the right leader in charge. We have identified and recruited top talent for libraries and community organizations, non-profits and associations, and information/technology companies of all sizes throughout the United States. Our backgrounds combine technical expertise, library knowledge, non-profit consulting, and well-honed executive search skills.

We know how to work effectively with governing boards through our own experience serving on public boards, including roles as trustee and president. We also consult on a wide range of issues including board effectiveness and succession planning, and are actively engaged as advocates for the library community. Our extensive private sector experience enables us to understand and work effectively with other service-oriented organizations and associations.

We'd like to hear from you and discuss your needs. Please contact us to learn more about our services.

Sarah Keister Armstrong & Associates: We Help Libraries Plan for the Future

We believe that when their operations are aligned with community needs, libraries can be transformational institutions.

We understand the challenges facing today's libraries and the changes in how communities interact with them. We also know that every library is different, and one method of approaching planning or evaluation does not fit within the framework of every organization.

From designing customized surveys to facilitating comprehensive strategic planning processes, we bring a unique multidisciplinary background to our work that both recognizes the value of data and acknowledges the importance of conversation.
